  THE ORGANISATION  
 

The organisation is managed by an Executive Committee headed by Mr. Shakil Ahmad Khan, Chief Executive Officer, MALC. The Directors of the Administration, Finance and Medical Departments are also members of the Executive Committee.
The Executive Committee is answerable to the Board of Governors with the Chief Executive Officer as the organisation's representative

Marie Adelaide Rehabilitation Centre
MALC also provides administrative support to the Marie Adelaide Rehabilitation Centre (MARC) for drug addicts at Sinjhoro in the Sanghar District of Sindh Province. The project was begun 20 years ago and now accommodates 210 drug dependents.

Ittehad Manzil
Ittehad Manzil is a home for Handicapped at Manghopir Karachi, which houses 56, mostly elderly persons who have been treated for Leprosy but are deformed and homeless many of them refugees from Afghanistan.

National Training Institute for Leprosy
Located at MARIE ADELAIDE LEPROSY CENTRE – Saddar Karachi.
Year of starting - 1965
Until now - 29 batches have been trained
Ophthalmic Technician training initiated in 1992 in collaboration with ISRA in Karachi and Pakistan Institute of Community Ophthalmology (PICO) at Peshawar
Tuberculosis training course initiated in 1999
Until now 525 Leprosy/Tuberculosis/Ophthalmic Technicians have been trained

In 1965 the Institute got affiliation with West Pakistan State Medical Faculty, in 1974. Sindh Medical Faculty (SMF) and in 1981 the Government of Pakistan recognized MALC as National Training Institute and published it in the National gazette of Pakistan. Subsequently, the institute affiliated with the National Institute of Health (1983).

1. Junior Leprosy Technician (JLT) Training Course of 2 years duration.
2. Senior Leprosy Technician (SLT) Training Course of 16 weeks duration.
3. Chief Leprosy Technician (CLT) Course of 16 weeks duration.
4. Leprosy Ophthalmic Technician (LOT) Course of 2 years.
5. Leprosy Rehabilitation Technician (LRT) Course of 2 Years.
6. Aid Nurse Training Course for Ward Staff
7. Ophthalmic Leprosy Field Assistant (OLFA) Course Duration 6 month
8. Family and Community Health Technician's Training Course in collaboration with Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU)
