2003 saw the development of a nationwide support system (in selected project areas) that adds to the National TB Control Programme's defaulter tracing to counter drug resistance, as well as contributing towards mobility and TB awareness programmes
Most of MALC's 157 centres/Sub centres nationwide have started TB control activities

Furthermore, comprehensive services included in this support system are:

• Physiotherapy Social services
• Surveillance of exposed family members
• Community involvement in awareness programmes
